In October, Come Participate in the Company's "Needwood Games: The Great Hunt" Event!

Hidden within the Needwood Forest, a company of archers gather to hone their skills with bow and arrow and prepare themselves for the King's call to defend and champion the Kingdom of Atlantia.  The Needwood Forest Company of Archers, was founded by a band of outcasts who had congregated in this wooded corner of the Shire of Roxbury Mill from lands distant in the hopes that training together, they could aid one another and become a formidable company.

The Needwood Forest Company of Archers is a Society for Creative Anachronisms (SCA) group founded in A.S. XXXIX by kingdom folk from the Shire of Roxbury Mill and the Barony of Storvik. Membership is open to all archers of the Kingdom of Atlantia that wish to join and practice with us. Online discussions of Company matters occur off-site in the Yahoo! Group: Needwood. Merchant links are provided (lower left) for the ease of our Company's members but are not endorsed by the group. Please direct all company questions to the Vintenar, Timothy of Shaftesbury. Archery Calendar

Below are listed Company activities and other practices and events where you may expect to find our members.

• Needwood Forest Company of Archers Practice, every Wednesday at Needwood Lake, Rock Creek Regional Park archery range at 6:30pm (for an hour or so). The Marshal-in-Charge is Timothy of Shaftesbury. Please see the Needwood discussion group for changes and cancellations. Practice usually consists of novelty shoots.
• Roxbury Mill Archery Practice, every Sunday at Needwood Lake, Rock Creek Regional Park archery range at 10:00am (for two hours). Marshal-in-Charge is Gregge the Archer. Please see the Shire of Roxbury Mill discussion group for changes and cancellations. Typically, this is a reliable practice unless there is heavy rain or temperatures fall below 40°. Pratice usually consists of Atlantian royal rounds and IKACs.
